Bruce Dixon awarded Salem's first scholarship on July 19th. Click for further info!

Bruce dixon was awarded the first annual Salem UMC $1000 scholarship. The picture shows him receiving the first of two $500 checks at Salem on July 19th.

The scholarship is open to Thomson High School Seniors each year. It is awarded based on several criteria which are reviewed by our scholarship committee. The first check is awarded before the first semester and then at the end of the first semester the recipients grades are reviewed and if satisfactory then the second check is awarded. The money can be used at any college or technical school.
